About Casa Hermosa
Casa Hermosa is a Non-Profit, Homeowners Association, with the goal of keeping our community a great place to live and protecting the property values.
Casa Hermosa is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood in North-East Albuquerque, about a mile from the foothills of the beautiful Sandia Mountains. In addition to a swimming pool, we have two grassy areas for you, your family, and your pets to enjoy. Our residents vary from retired to young working professionals, and families with children.
About the Homes
Casa Hermosa community is built up of 39 stucco homes with a pool at its center. The homes are either 2 or 3 bedrooms with private backyards, flat roofs, and carports. Casa Hermosa Drive is a private street that makes a loop through the neighborhood. The community is on a shared water meter and water, sewer, and trash are covered by monthly dues.
History of Casa Hermosa
The first phase of the Casa Hermosa development began in 1972. Back then, a two-bedroom was being sold for $32,900 and three bedrooms at $35,900. Today, the median selling price of a two-bedroom townhome at Casa Hermosa is around $255k. Three-bedrooms average $275k and up. Homes at Casa Hermosa sell quickly (within a couple of days). Homeowners here not only own the structure but the land underneath it as well. You benefit from the equity that builds up and the tax deductions you can take for interest and property taxes.
